Fevola was named in the league's Team of the Past 25 Years on Saturday night and given he's signed with Hastings in the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League, suggested he might tackle his former outfit in May.
"I'm sure the coach wouldn't rule him out, particularly if his form is going well," AFL South East senior football operations manager Haydn Parsons said.
Hastings are in division two, but Parsons says players can still represent the league from that lower level.

However, he said there will be fierce competition for forward spots, given the presence of former AFL players Aaron Edwards and Robin Nahas.
"Over the last couple of years there's been some local players in the team, Nick Corp has been one of the dominant forwards in the competition and this year the league has picked up Marc Holt, who kicked his 1000th goal at Cranbourne last season," Parsons said.
The O and M-MPNFL clash is the third versus fourth playoff, with the winner moving through to next year's top game in the AFL Victoria Community Championships.
Northern and Geelong will play for top spot this year.
Fevola coached the O and M for two years, claiming a strong win over Hampden in 2014.
However, the O and M fell to Peninsula by 10 points the following year and he stood down immediately, citing the failure to finish number one.
It later emerged he was in Albury's Dean Street at 2.34am that morning.
Fevola's perceived casual approach - interleague is rated highly by the O and M - caused angst, so it would be ironic if he was to play a role in stopping the league's pursuit of top spot.
