The former AFL assistant coach says the classy left-footer has the ability to make his mark at senior level.
"He's got a great tank, we can play him anywhere," German enthused.
'He's a young guy with a load of ability and potential and he's just starting to realise that now.
"He's a fairly quiet kid and we're just trying to bring him out of his shell.
"From pre-Christmas to where he is now, you can just see a kid who's got a lot more confidence in the way he goes about things."

Praise like that from a 185-gamer in the AFL and a dual premiership coach with WAFL outfit Subiaco will only help build Bice's confidence.
Bice played 18 games with the Murray Bushrangers last season, but managed three senior games with Albury.
He starred on debut, kicking four goals against Myrtleford.
Bice booted another five against Wangaratta Rovers and rounded out his senior stint with a major against Wangaratta on June 30.
The best on ground in the Tigers' under 18 premiership in 2017, Bice is one of a talented group the club will push into the top grade, following the departure of a number of multiple premiership players, including Daniel Cross, Michael Thompson and Charles Gaylard.
Albury's leading goal-kicker in the thirds, Kolby Hennessy, is being targeted for a positional change.
Hennessy kicked 75 goals, averaging almost four per game.
"He's another player with a good footy brain and I've worked with him about playing more up the ground and into the midfield, so he might be able to play wing and half-forward, maybe even closer to goal," German said.
And the son of another multiple premiership player in Marc Duryea is also expected to feature.
Fraser Duryea played three senior games last year.
"He's been exceptional and in the practice game (against Tatura) he's shown that he plays older than he is, the way he thinks about his fooball," German said.
"He's going to be a great player for a long time at our footy club."
The Tigers will play their second and final practice game at home against Bundoora on Saturday.
The premiers were missing at least eight automatic selections last week, but they'll be without only a handful of regulars against the Northern Football League club, including Brayden O'Hara.
"We've always planned it for this one to be, I guess, our dress rehearsal, both on and off the field," German said.
Albury will start its season at home against the revitalised Daryn Cresswell-coached Wangaratta Rovers on April 6 in the first full round of fixtures.
