Tim Jones, Henry McQueen and Sam Quick fired in goals for United, while Ryley Walker was the lone scorer for Magpies.
Wodonga had to settle for a share of the points with reigning premiers Norths with a 2-2 draw.
Kieran McQuilton and recent ACT under-15s representative Brayden Mulrooney scored for the Bulldogs, while Kurt Beath and Larry Simpson got on the board for Norths.
A double from Josh MacVean set up a hard-fought 5-3 triumph for Wombats against Falcons.
Leigh Foulston, Nick Kilby and Aiden McMillan also finished with goals, with majors from Shaun Grouch, Clint Henderson and Matt Mills keeping Falcons in the contest.

United got on top in the midfield and proved too hard to stop, with Palubiski the player of the match.
Seana Blain and Bella Heagney also added to the scoreline, while Michaela Franks pegged one back for Magpies.
Sherren Rahaley and Abigail Wilkinson netted truly for Norths to see off Wodonga 2-1.
Danielle McLeish was on target for the Bulldogs.
