O'Connor was reported by umpire Shane Forge for intentionally striking Yarrawonga's Brodie Tyson in the second quarter of the under-18 fixture on Saturday.
No set penalty was offered and Forge recommended the charge serious enough to be referred straight to the tribunal.
O'Connor entered a guilty plea.
