It was neck and neck against the Farrer league in Osborne from start to finish, with the Hume girls clenching victory by just one goal, 40-39.
Osborne defender Ebony Williams was awarded best on court for her efforts, while captain Shinead Kilroy provided leadership in her role through the midcourt.
Open inter-league debutantes Meg Smith and Kacie Schuur also worked tirelessly in goals, while Courtney Menzies had a solid game.

Hume coach Michael Cunningham praised his side's ability to work together on the court.
"I think in the end that's what got us through," Cunningham said.
"They had that desire, will and belief in each other to keep chipping away and get back in front.
"Right across the board, everyone played their role on the day."
