Three straight wins lifts eighth-placed Melrose three games clear of Wodonga Diamonds in the finals race.
However, the result was soured by a hamstring injury to captain Adam Waters, who won't return until after the Queen's Birthday bye.
Waters was among the goal-scorers before leaving the field, while coach Kade Rixon, Liam Colston and Jakob Barlow also found the back of the net.
Also in sport:
"We've got a bit of a run on, probably the most pleasing thing is we're sticking to what we want to do," Rixon said.
"Our last three-and-a-half weeks have been really good.
"It started with Wang for a half and the last three weeks have been a little bit more consistent.
"Next week we'll see where we are, (Albury) United is always a good game and we'll see how the young boys stack up against a few of the senior bodies."
