But even she knows a lot will need to go right for the defending league and cup champions to claim top honours again this season.
"I'll never say never to it, but it's definitely going be a struggle to wrangle 10 points back off (Albury) United when they're in the form they are," Broadway said.
"A team like Boomers just pushed them to 2-2 (last weekend), so it's showing all of us that it's there to be had if we want it.
"Some consistent play on the field is going to be one of them, but a consistent lineup is what we've been lacking all season."
City faces an in-form St Pats at Jelbart Park on Sunday, who can pinch third spot with victory.
Other sports news:
"It's a bit of a season where you don't really know what's going to come out of the results," Broadway said.
"We were pretty disappointed with our performance (last round against Wangaratta), particularly the first half with our attitude going out into the game."
Broadway admitted Patties are starting to become more of a threat since the return of Isabelle Barbaro from suspension.
"I think now that they have a bit more firepower up front, they're definitely more dangerous," she said.
"A team like United has a bit of depth about them and they played their first few games without Alicia (Torcaso) and Mel Crorken and still dominated.
"Teams like ourselves, St Pats and probably Boomers as well, you take one or two key players out of the mix and it's a different ball game."
In the remaining games, Boomers host Wangaratta, while Albury United takes on Melrose.
United leads the league by six points from Wangaratta.
