"It's a little honeymoon trip with Kelsey," coach Simon Curtis said.
The pair married over the off-season.
"He's still got wedding cake in his fridge, he's been snacking on it," Curtis laughed about his popular team-mate.
The Panthers don't play this weekend, so Holman with miss matches against Albury, Wodonga, Wodonga Raiders and Wangaratta Rovers.
He'll return for the away clash against Yarrawonga on July 20.
Holman certainly left in fine form after racking up a match-high 29 disposals in last Saturday's 61-point caning of fellow finals contenders Myrtleford.
"He's been really consistent and he's also part of our coaching group as well, he's in his second year as assistant coach, along with (former player) Graham Hart," Curtis said.
"He's really composed with the ball. He knows his limitations, he's not a long kick, he's an elite short kick and he brings others into the game with his hands, which I don't think he gets enough credit for."
Holman, who polled the most votes in the 2015 Morris Medal but was ineligible to win due to suspension, will be sorely missed against Albury on June 15.
Lavington handed the Tigers their heaviest loss - 71 points - during their decade of domination in a stunning round two upset.
Like all good sides when they get hammered, the Tigers take it personally and will be hellbent on revenge.
Fellow Panthers' midfielder Tom Hargreave will play after missing the Myrtleford game with a quad, while the visitors will be hoping interleague utility Brant Dickson will return after injuring his shoulder in round one.
