Winery Walkabout, Rutherglen, Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9, 2019
Victoria's longest-running wine festival, Winery Walkabout, will showcase the North East's celebrated wine and produce. For more than 40 years, the annual walkabout feast has attracted wine lovers to Rutherglen over the Queen's Birthday long weekend. Nineteen Rutherglen wineries will offer something to taste, sip and savour behind each cellar door. Wine lovers will be delighted by special back-vintage tastings, behind-the-scenes winery tours and guided one-on-one tastings with winemakers.
ROYAL RECEPTION
Join the winemaking families of the King Valley to taste new and museum release wines, feast on local produce and hearty family recipes. Participating wineries: Brown Brothers, Chrismont, Dal Zotto, Darling Estate, King River Estate, La Cantina, Pizzini, Politini, Sam Miranda and Wood Park Wines. Festival tickets include access to wineries, entertainment, wine tastings and a Spiegelau tasting glass (drinkers) or reusable coffee cup (non-drinkers). This event coincides with the King Valley Balloon Festival and the King Valley Art Show.
