The skiing and snowboarding season opens on Saturday and thanks to more than 80 centimetres of snow in the past two weeks and continuing snow-making conditions seven lifts will turn on day one.
This is the highest number on opening weekend lifts since the record-breaking 2000 snow season.
Falls Creek announced Halleys Comet, Eagle Express, Drovers, Towers and Gully chair lifts will turn, along with Mouse Trap and Pete's Train surface lifts.
Falls Creek Resort management director of marketing and communications Jo Prothero said there was a "lot to be excited about this time round".
"We've been watching the snow fall with real enthusiasm over the past fortnight," she said.
"Conditions out in the ski field are excellent and visitors are going to be treated with terrain you don't usually see until a little later in the season.
"All up 80 centimetres has fallen from the two big storms and we're sitting at a depth of around half a metre for opening day.
"If you have wanted to come and enjoy an opening weekend, this year is definitely the one to head up for."
One of Falls Creek's most popular aspects is its ski village and Ms Prothero said the operations crew are "working over time to deliver a truly unique ski in ski out experience" this early in the season.
"Everybody loves our snow-bound village and tonight snow crews will be out on the streets preparing it for the influx of visitors," she said.
