A single-storey Tangambalanga home worth more than $1 million built by an Albury builder has taken out top honours at the North East Master Builders Regional Building Awards.
Scott James Builder was named Residential Builder of the Year at the awards for the home built with contrasting rusted steel and cast concrete.
Master Builders Victoria chief executive Rebecca Casson said prior collaboration between the builder and architect helped them work together effectively to bring the home owner's vision to life.
"The structure is bold and simple, changing in appearance according to shifts in light and weather, and providing a quiet setting for close observation of the surroundings," she said.
