Veteran Luke Packer is facing an extended spell on the sidelines with a hamstring and youngster Riley Bice has been ruled out for between four to six weeks with AC joint damage.
But, reigning best and fairest Jake Gaynor (shoulder), Joel Mackie (hamstring) and Chris Hyde (corked thigh) are still in the mix to take on Wangaratta Rovers.
The Hawks have stormed into the top-five on the back of a three-match winning streak.
The trio were being assessed on Monday night, but co-coach Tom McGrath was refusing to rule them out at this point.
"It's obviously early in the week and we don't have injury clinic until tonight (Monday)" McGrath said.
"But we expect Gaynor to play and it's not the first time he has done something similar and he hasn't missed a game with it.
"Mackie played the rest of the game and has never previously done a hamstring, so he is not sure if it was just cramp or something more serious.
"Hyde is saying he will get up."

Ben Kelly and Pat Parnell are also expected to return to the Murray Bushrangers after playing against Lavington.
Lavington became the first side to beat Albury twice during the home and away season since Albury's decade of dominance started in 2009.
The Panthers also inflicted the Tigers' biggest defeat during the same period with a 71-point caning in round two.
McGrath singled out Mackie for his effort to kick three goals in the frenetic final term while being clearly hampered by his injury.
The dual Morris medallist finished with an equal career best five goals for the match.
"Joel went to come off and there was nobody to replace him so he had to hobble back down to the goal square," he said.
"To kick three and also give one off just highlights his competitive nature."
McGrath labelled the bruising encounter one of the most physical matches Albury has been involved in.
"We had 15 fit blokes and Lavington 18, so there were a lot of sore boys," he said.
"A lot of spectators commented how physical it was after the match."
