Triple-0 calls were made about 5.30pm after flames broke out in the B-double, about one kilometre north of the Carraragarmungee Estate Road.
The prime mover was destroyed, the front trailer was badly damaged and the rear trailer was saved.
CFA operations officer Trevor Ebbels said the driver of the Linfox vehicle wasn't hurt.
Firefighters had to tow one of the trailers to a nearby rest area so they could properly tackle the fire.

A lack of water also meant crews had to transport water in from the Springhurst fire station.
"The freeway reopened about 11pm," Mr Ebbels said.
"It was only opened initially in one lane with speed restrictions.
"We had to separate the two trailers and the prime mover was left on the scene."
The truck had been transporting grocery items when it caught alight.
Mr Ebbels said fumes released from the burning packaging had been a challenge.
"It produced some potentially toxic gases," he said.
"We had to use breathing apparatus extensively and we rotated the air cylinders back to Wangaratta to be refilled.
"They had to do a few cycles."
The prime mover was destroyed on the side of the road.
Footage filmed from a person inside a passing vehicle showed flames and thick black smoke pouring from the front trailer.
