The reigning champions had picked up just four points from the past five games - the only win coming against Wodonga Heart.
But there was glimpses of their best against the Wanderers, particularly in the first half.
Myrtleford hit the front in the 13th minute when Connor Caponecchia turned on his right foot and found the bottom corner.
The lead was doubled eight minutes later when the Wanderers coughed the ball up coming out of defence and Jesse Stephens was all alone at the top of the box to convert the one-on-one.
Caponecchia was denied a second by Twin City keeper Rohan Pearce, but followed up on the loose ball and picked out Raul Pahina for a header to make it 3-0 on the stroke of half-time.
Twin City threw everything at the Savoys, but they soaked up the pressure and went four ahead when Vinnie Paglia made a good run and finished in the 64th minute.
Moments later Caponecchia had a second when Jake Miles beat two defenders and crossed to him for the simplest of goals.
Twin City pulled two back in the final 10 minutes through Jack Kirk and Jayson Ferguson, but had too much ground to make up.

Myrtleford co-coach Matt Park was rapt with the performance.
"The first half we played some really good football and knocked the ball around, it's a nice, big pitch," Park said.
"We got that (first) goal and I think that gave the boys a nice confidence boost, it's been a while since we've scored the first goal.
"The first 15 minutes (of the second half) when they really applied the pressure, I thought we sat in well and soaked it up.
"It was a really good performance and showed a lot of character to come back from the last four or five weeks."
Troy Pawlik is beginning to find his feet after missing last season with an ACL, while regular centre back Pahina was used in a different role higher up the pitch.
"We're just trying to work out our best combinations," Park added.
"We're looking to win the cup now, that's where our focus lies.
"Sam Morgan is two weeks away, 'DK' (Daniel Kioses) is back this week and our new import (Luc Doherty) will be in either this week or next week."
Jesse Stephens was substituted in the second half after copping a knock to the ankle, but isn't expected to be sidelined.
Twin City coach Shaun Wilhelm felt his side was a bit flat to start.
"Myrtleford are a side that aren't going to keep losing," he admitted.
"Someone was going to cop the hiding and it was us.
"It was the reverse of last week, we were 3-0 up (at half-time) but this week we were 3-0 down and chasing the game.
"There was still plenty of positives to take out of it."
Cody Walsh was out through suspension and will return to face Wangaratta next weekend.
