A woman, who was known to employees of the Liberty service station on Urana Road, has been charged with armed robbery with an offensive weapon after she allegedly "threatened a male worker with a large knife demanding cash".
Business owner Ravi Pantam told The Border Mail the woman would regularly come into the store and it was "disappointing" she threatened his employee.
"I haven't got an exact number but she took off with around $900 cash, some cigarettes and some drinks," he said.
"While it is a loss to the business our main concern is for our employee.

"Thankfully he is a ok and just a bit shaken by the whole thing. He did all the right things that he was trained to do in those situations.
"He wasn't alarmed when the woman walked in because he knew who she was so it was a bit scary for him when she had the knife."
The worker had been employed at Liberty for about 12 months.
Mr Pantam said this is the third time the business has been targeted in the past few years.
"I am glad our employee is alright but it is a bit sad this keeps happening," he said.
"He is ok and will be back at work this week."
A NSW police spokeswoman said a woman entered the service station at 1.50pm.
"After searching the aisles she approached the front counter," she said.
"The woman then allegedly produced a large knife and threatened the console operator demanding money before leaving with cash.
"The console operator then contacted police who arrived shortly after and established a crime scene."
The spokeswoman said following an investigation a woman was arrested and taken to the Albury police station.
"She was refused bail and is due to appear at Albury Local Court on Monday, July 29," she said.
Police could not confirm the age of the woman who was charged or where she was from.
