Shania Williams, 21, appeared via video link in Albury Local Court on Monday charged with the daylight armed robbery of the Liberty service station on Saturday.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Liberty business owner Ravi Pantam told The Border Mail on Sunday Williams was a "regular customer" and the staff "knew who she was".
"She would regularly come into the store," he said.
Magistrate Tony Murray adjourned the matter to the same court on October 15.
She did not apply for bail.
EARLIER: Police have described the actions of a 21-year-old woman, who allegedly pulled a 20cm knife on Liberty Service Station staff and demanded cash, as 'stupid'.
Detective Chief Inspector Winston Woodward said a woman would appear in Albury Local Court today, charged her with the armed robbery of the Urana Road, Lavington, service station.
"I think it's a stupid act [by] anyone who sticks up a service station these days," he said.
"With the CCTV and forensics we've got it's only a matter of time before we catch up to you, so please don't do it.
"It's only common sense."
"You can only imagine that a 20cm knife being poked into your face is going to cause you grave concern and fear for your safety," he said.
He said there have been two armed robberies and one street robbery in recent months, but he did not believe there was a trend developing.
"I'm not concerned," he said.
"Two service station robberies in the past six months and a 100 per cent (success) rate in relation to legal action is good in my book.
"We have an outstanding street robbery matter at the moment I am hopeful we will get an arrest on that one in the near future.
"They are serious crimes, armed robbery and they are investigated fully."
