Reporter Nigel McNay and photographer James Wiltshire took out individual honours at the Rural Press Club of Victoria presentation in Melbourne while The Border Mail was commended in the Media Outlet of the Year category.
McNay's Stop The Violence series on domestic violence was named Best Feature Series and he also received a high commendation in Best Print Feature Story.
In Best General Interest Photography, Wiltshire's Christmas photo of Santa playing cricket in Walbundrie proved a winner.
The Border Mail editor Xavier Mardling said it was terrific to see their work recognised.
"We are very lucky at The Border Mail to have such a talented team of journalists and photographers," he said.
"Nigel's series on violence shone a light on what is an all-too-common occurrence in our society.
"I hope by continuing to tell these stories we can bring about some positive change.
"James' Christmas shots are becoming something of an institution and I can't wait to see what he's got in store for us, and our readers, this year."
