"We couldn't question the boys' endeavour, we just didn't take our opportunities when they were presented," coach Mark Brown said.
"We'd get a run and we'd drop a simple mark or we'd fumble when we couldn't afford to.
"We were a little bit untidy and that was the difference, it's probably a reflection of our year."
In just his fourth game, Josh Rachele kicked three goals.
"Josh is a bottom bottom age player and he also had 17 disposals to be our most effective forward," Brown said.
Cameron Wild and Dominic Bedendo kicked two goals apiece.
Lachie Ash finished his year as he's been all season, super consistent and outstanding.
Rated a certainty to be drafted in the first round, Ash had 29 disposals.
"He was very powerful," Brown said of his gun player.
Ethan Baxter and Harry Beasley, who proved effective playing behind the ball, also performed.
The loss means a handful of players will now be available for the first week of Ovens and Murray finals.
Dylan Clarke is an automatic selection for Wodonga Raiders in their elimination final against Myrtleford on Sunday, while ruckman Ben Kelly will be crucial for Albury against Wangaratta.
