The Magpies finished the regular season second to Corowa-Rutherglen dropping just two games to the Roos and Panthers in the first half of the season.
Since then Wangaratta have won their last 13 games straight and will be looking to continue that streak as they face Lavington in a qualifying final this weekend.
"We're not feeling the pressure," Byrne said.
"We're just going about our business as normal by training hard and playing each team as to what they produce."
The Panthers line-up is looking vastly different for finals after the loss of leading shooters Skye Hillier and Sarah Senini to injury.
"It's very sad for them to lose their best goallies," Byrne said.
"You can't rule them out, but it is sad what's happened to the club in that grade.
"I'm sure they'll put up the best fight they can and bring up some B-grade girls."

Lavington's Tayla Furborough confirmed the Panthers will be looking to bring some of their B-grade players up in the coming weeks.
Furborough is one player that's stepped up into the side, with the defender also utilised as a shooter in the Panthers loss to Corowa-Rutherglen.
"I think Tam (Mathews) has some ideas about swapping people at each end," Furborough said.
"Everyone's quite devastated that the two main shooters are out for the rest of the season, especially finals.
"We'll just try our best and see what happens."
While Corowa-Rutherglen appear to be the benchmark this season, Byrne believes the competition is still open.
"Corowa are sitting on top but we had a pretty good game against them and a good result last time we played them," Byrne said.
"I wouldn't underestimate Yarrawonga, I think they're in it as well.
"Albury has now pushed to make the five and they came from fifth spot last year.
"They're all beatable, that's for sure."
Wangaratta and Lavington play on Saturday in Corowa.
