"I'm excited to get back to the region for this year's O&M grand final," Longmire said.
"It's always been one of the premier competitions in regional Victoria and I have great memories of my playing days at Corowa-Rutherglen.
"Grand final is a fantastic day, I'm looking forward to joining this year's Hall of Fame inductees in the Parade of Champions and being involved in the league's premier event.
"Hopefully I can see my old club lift some silverware on the netball court, they've enjoyed a successful season to date across the senior grades."
Longmire started his career at Corowa-Rutherglen before being drafted to North Melbourne.
He notched 200 matches with the Roos, including the 1999 flag triumph.
The strong marking forward became the youngest ever Coleman medallist in 1990 as a 19-year-old.
Longmire was appointed coach of the Sydney Swans in 2011.
The Swans have played in three grand finals under Longmire, winning the flag in 2012.
Newton plays for Melbourne Vixens and is the first former O&M player to reach the elite level.
