Cody Antone, 24, who grew up in Jindera, died when the car in which he was travelling with a friend crashed in Darwin on Thursday.
His cousin Zali Antone, who lives in Albury, set up the page to pay for Mr Antone's father to travel to Darwin to bring his son's body home and said she was "blown away" with the generosity of the Border community who have raised $17,470.

"We are so grateful that we are able to bring Cody home, and to say our goodbyes the way he would want.
"There aren't enough ways to express my gratitude, just know that we will forever be grateful to everyone and we will never forget how helpful everyone has been."
