Although Albury Wodonga Health said in a media statement the power outage today was "unexpected and unplanned" AusNet Services reported a routine maintenance outage for October 23, which affected 381 customers across Wodonga.
"Albury Wodonga Health experienced an unexpected and unplanned power outage at the Wodonga hospital site today," the statement said.
"The Albury Wodonga Health emergency protocols were initiated to ensure the ongoing safety of our patients and staff.
"At no time during the outage were patients, visitors or staff compromised.

"Alternative arrangements have been put in place to minimise the impact on patients and clients.

The AusNet outage was due finish at 4.30pm but was removed from the website around two hours early.
