The Demons made a healthy 8-249 before overcoming a fine knock of 95 from Alex McMaster to post their first win of the season.
Lockhart also brought down Walbundrie last season.
Skipper Chayte Burkinshaw was delighted with the performance.
"We were really happy," Burkinshaw said.
"I think it's our best win.
"We were in a bit of trouble bowling wise but everyone kept their calm and we picked up a few wickets."

Burkinshaw led the way for Lockhart with 79 not out off 93 balls while Jarrod Byrnes (49), Craig Byrnes (34) and Luke Murray (29 not out) also played valuable knocks.
The under-strength Tigers weren't disgraced in the run chase with McMaster (95) and Mason Collins (52) the mainstays.
Blake Lieschke remained 14 not out as late wickets fell around him including Roy Elliott, Kevin Wardius and Jack Kotzur for ducks.
"McMaster was a big wicket," Burkinshaw said.
"He had dropped him twice late in his innings so it was good to get him out.
"Blake Ryan bowled well with three wickets."
Walla overcame a blistering century from Brock-Burrum's Jordan Schilg to win by four wickets at Brocklesby.
Schilg made 120 off 91 balls to help the Saints reach an imposing 207.
The Hoppers chased down the score through the efforts of rejuvenated all-rounder Joel Merkel (66), Tom Simmons (49) and Alex Paech (35).
Rand defeated Osborne by four wickets with Mark Kreutzberger's cool head in the middle-order proving the difference between the sides.
Holbrook captain Hamish Mackinlay made 102 to lead the Brookers to a 121-run win over Henty.
He and Corey McCarthy put on a 173-run third wicket partnership.
TRYC rolled Culcairn.
