The Crows will appeal CAW's decision to award the six points to Tallangatta over a fielding breach following their controversial round two match on November 2.
"It's not so much a delay (to go through with the appeal), from our cricket club's perspective we just want to make sure we get our part of the appeal process correct and we've just been making sure with John McMillan and Michael Erdeljac at CAW we were going through the right channels to appeal and that's been confirmed," club president Andrew Wilkes said.
We just want to make sure we get our part of the appeal process correct ... and that's been confirmed.

"We're forwarding it to Riverina Cricket and that's going to happen tomorrow (Monday) basically."
The appeal will be just the second to Riverina Cricket in the past decade.
The Crows were dismissed for 207 from their 50 overs, but were awarded an extra 10 runs due to Tallangatta's slow over rate.
In reply, the visitors were bowled out for 212.
IN OTHER NEWS:
However, the Bushies appealed to CAW after the Crows' Luke Brunckhorst failed to take the field.
Brunckhorst was injured while batting and the association's laws state a fielder must take his place for at least 20 overs, unless the umpires are notified beforehand.
The Crows failed to inform the officials that Brunckhorst's injury would prevent him taking the field.
CAW reversed the result and the Bushies received the win.
That six points could prove crucial as a logjam is building in the race for finals.
