Now in its third year, By the Banks Music Festival returns to the picturesque Willowbank in South Albury, on the banks of the Murray River. Twelve hours of live music will run across two main stages as well as a new third stage. Among the music line-up will be homegrown favourites The Northern Folk, The Maes, Scott Cook (Canada), Feelds, This Way North, Kerryn Fields (New Zealand) and Border acts the Murray Riverina Jazz Orchestra and Mayfair Lane. A total of 23 acts - made up of 81 artists - will perform at Willowbank. Gates open at 11.30am.

This new exhibition Pets celebrates the colourful, weird and loving relationships between pets and their humans. Drawn from MAMA's extensive collection of photographs, paintings and sculptures, the exhibition also features newly-commissioned work. Part of Pets, Pets in Saloon is a free-for-all gathering of pet portraits by Border painters. It runs until February 9. Walkies, anyone?

Border musos are banding together for a worthy cause. Six bands will team up to raise awareness about mental health disorders. Society Black, King Jeremy (Pearl Jam tribute band), Pacing The Cage, Tullie and The Arrivals, Three-Day Reign and Caviar Teddy will bring their best to the stage for a big night of live music. It's an all-ages event until 10pm. Free entry.

The Albury-Wodonga Doll, Bear and Hobby Show is back in town. There will be exhibitions, competitions and demonstrations. Crafters specialise in making porcelain, bears, doll houses, Lego, embroidery and models.
