The Murray Bushrangers co-captain and son of Albury premiership player Stephen Ash was taken with pick four.
"It hasn't quite sunk in yet, I'm still a bit jittery, but I'm obviously stoked to get the opportunity to be playing footy," Ash told Fox Footy.
"It's a dream come true."

Ash is thrilled he'll get to play alongside his idol Lachie Whitfield, a player he's modelled his game on.
"I hadn't watched him (Whitfield) play before, so I sat up on the third level so I could watch where he ran and what he did when he didn't have the footy," Ash said.
"Obviously it will be good to learn off him and watch things he does a bit more closely than from afar."
The Bushrangers' remaining draft hopefuls, including Albury's Ben Kelly, will know their fate tonight when the rest of the national draft is completed.
