Wodonga returns to the PGA Australia circuit for the first time in around a decade next Tuesday (December 10) with its $15,000 pro-am, but the big prize will be on the 147m, 16th hole.

"We've (club professional Gavin Vearing) been talking for quite a long period about our business promoting the club and he said we're after a prize for a hole-in-one and I said if we do it, we'll do it properly and so we picked the best van we have and hopefully it goes off," Albury Wodonga RV World's Colin Haynes said.

The prize is available only to amateurs.

"They've got to hit over a creek, but that really only comes into play if they hit a really poor shot," Vearing said.

"There's a bunker on the right and that could come into play, depending on where the pin is. If it's at the back right it can be a more challenging shot, but if it's down the front or the middle, it's definitely more accessible."

Entries are still being taken for amateurs in the morning session with a full field of around 60 pros in action.

The event will kick-start a bumper 48 hours on the Border with Commercial Golf Resort Albury hosting its annual $25,000 event the next day.

Two players who finished in the top ten at the $400,000 NSW Open last weekend in James Marchesani and Max McArdle will contest the title.

NSW Open winner Josh Younger was entered, but he now has commitments in Indonesia given that maiden tour victory.
