Innocent Kaia will make his debut at home against Tallangatta on Saturday.
"He's a top three bat and bowls leg-spin, he'll be a very, very good cricketer," co-coach Luke Styles said.
"He's been playing professional cricket for a while now, he made 100 last week in Zimbabwe's T20 comp."
Kaia has played 27 first-class matches, scoring 1120 runs at 24.88.
He boasts a highest score of 106 in his two tons, along with four half-centuries.
A gifted stroke player, Kaia made his T20 debut for Zimbabwe in the 2017 Africa Cup.
