The new owners have also commenced advertising for staff for the new year re-opening with other improvements being made to the bar area, kitchen and beer garden.

CRE Brokers' Dan McDonald confirmed the pub originally known as the Railway Hotel before being re-named as the Murray River Hotel had been sold this week.
The hotel shut mid-year, but has been purchased by local interests.
It was re-badged as Wodonga's first Irish-themed pub when former owners, Cook-Beaumont Hotel Group, took over the hotel more than a decade ago.
Demolition of the hotel had been previously considered.
The Yackandandah Hotel, Happy Valley Hotel at Ovens and McEvoy Tavern at Eldorado have all changed hands this month in deals completed by CRE Brokers.
Another Wodonga watering hole, the Carrier Arms, is still undergoing a major redevelopment after shutting its doors in January to enable the works to commence.
Businessman Leigh Esler bought the pub in mid-2018 after being owned by Wagga businessman Greg Evans since the mid-2000s.
The pub's name has been changed to Church St Hotel, according to its Facebook page.
