Police have released images of two men wanted over an alleged attempted armed robbery outside a home in Lavington in September.

Murray River Police District said about 9.45pm on Saturday, September 7 a man attended a home on Kemp Street, Lavington.
"Police have been told as the man arrived at the home, a vehicle pulled into the driveway and two men exited, demanding cash," a spokesperson said.
"The first man allegedly grabbed the victim in a headlock before a knife was produced by one of the two men.

"Officers attached to Murray River Police District have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
"Investigators are now appealing for information about two men who may be able to assist with inquiries."
The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 190cm with a distinctive beard.
The second man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 180cm with tattoos on his arms.
Their images were captured on CCTV footage.
