Automatic sprinklers activated at Rivalea Stockfeed, Honour Avenue, when smoke formed in an underground grain tunnel.
A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesman said the call came at 11.51am, with the sprinkler system holding the fire in check.
"Crews in breathing apparatus entered the tunnel to work out the source of the fire," he said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The source of the fire was a gear box on a conveyor belt."
The blaze was confined to the tunnel and declared out at 1.37pm.
Corowa Fire and Rescue NSW said there was minimal damage to the business and thanked the other crews who attended.
They included Wahgunyah Country Fire Authority, Hopefield Rural Fire Service and a hazardous materials truck from Albury.
