Border rugby fans will get the first look at the new-look ACT Brumbies, and one of their remaining Wallabies stars has backed their fresh approach.
The Brumbies clash with Melbourne Rebels at Greenfield Park on Thursday, their only hit out before the Super Rugby season starts.
With the trial on the Border their only chance for game play before the January 31 start, the full squad will be on deck for a big night.

Allan Alaalatoa expects to spend plenty of time in the middle.
"I'm sure the plan is to get a lot of boys through a lot of minutes," Alaalatoa said.
"The more minutes we get individually the better for us going forward.
"Seeing as we only have one trial as a club we need to make the most of it."
The Brumbies and Rebels will hold a fan session at Greenfield Park at 4pm Wednesday.
There is also a game-day opportunity at 2pm before the first game kicks off at 3.45pm.
