Reynolds has confirmed he'll drive in the Pro-Am division of the race with the Sun Energy1 team in what will be his sixth start at the event.
The 12 Hour has become a major event on the international motorsport calendar and now attracts many of the world's factory GT3 racing teams and drivers, who relish the opportunity to face the Mount Panorama circuit.
The Bathurst 12 Hour is run under international rules for GT3 and GT4 class cars.
They're vastly different from Reynolds' Penrite Commodore Supercar, being specially modified versions of some of the world's most desirable sports cars.
The race also caters for different powered cars for professional and amateurs drivers.
ALSO IN SPORT:
Reynolds will be teaming up with Austrian professional driver Dominik Baumann and two amateur drivers, Australian solar energy magnate Kenny Habul and Austrian entrepreneur Martin Konrad.
"These cars are a lot faster than my Supercar," Reynolds said.
"The brakes are better, they have traction control and a heap of other features that you don't get on a Supercar.
"It takes a few laps to trust that it'll all work, which is a bit frightening at first, but after you've done some laps and get into the groove, it's just great fun.
"Even though they're two or three seconds a lap faster, they aren't anywhere near as physical to drive.
"All the driving aids take a lot of the effort out of it, but mentally it's a different challenge as there are slower cars on the track from different classes and some of the drivers aren't professionals.
"You can come up on them pretty quickly and at certain spots at Bathurst that can get a bit hairy.
"Being in the Pro-Am class, outright victory will be a bit of a big ask, but we will be very competitive in our class, so that's what we will be looking for, the Pro-Am class win."
Reynolds joins a strong list of Supercar Championship drivers who will be starting their 2020 season at the event, including seven-time Supercar Champion Jamie Whincup and his Red Bull HRT teammate Shane Van Gisbergen in a Triple Eight Engineering prepared AMG GT3.
Also in the Professional class are Craig Lowndes driving a Porsche, Garth Tander an Audi, Rick Kelly in an Aston Martin Vantage and ex BJR Supercar driver Tim Slade will hit the Mountain in a Ferrari 488 for the first time since his disastrous Bathurst 1000 in October last year where he didn't last the first lap.
The race will start at 5:45am on February 2.
