In the latest incident, a driver who had been performing burnouts lost control of their car and crashed heavily into a brick wall on Sunday night.
The impact destroyed four or five letterboxes and sprayed bricks and bins towards homes on Watson Street.
Residents reported hearing a loud bang, followed by screeching tyres as the driver tried to flee the scene.
The vehicle was stuck on top of bricks, but the driver managed to escape from the area in the car.
Parklands Estate resident Neville Pearce said he had heard the driver performing burnouts before the crash.
IN OTHER NEWS:
While changes were recently made on Watson Street preventing vehicles entering from a roundabout on Ryan Road, he said the hoon deterrent had had the opposite effect.
"It makes it a quieter area, so that if you want to drop some wheelies you can go for it without worrying about there being too much traffic," he said.
"I'd like to see Watson Street reopened at the roundabout and they need to install rumble strips to keep the traffic slowed down.
"This guy was laying rubber all up and down Watson Street and along the street on the side.
"There's rubber everywhere on the road."
There have also been at least four serious car crashes on nearby Burrows Road in recent years, including an incident where a drink driver slammed into a home 12 months ago, and an incident where a car smashed into a power pole before the driver fled the scene last October.
Albury Council staff last year dropped speed limits on some roads in the area to 50km/h, installed new signs, and ran a public safety campaign.
Mr Pearce said the driver's behaviour on Sunday was "absolutely dangerous".
"They're just lucky there was no-one coming the other way, because they would have cleaned them up," he said.
"The bricks have been demolished and it's pretty solid.
"It's completely shattered."
The car was extensively damaged, but it's unclear if the driver was arrested.
