Che Kennedy was already in custody serving a breached parole period due to expire in March, just before he turns 24.
Defence lawyer Daniel Maxton said Kennedy had spent four months and 30 days behind bars refused bail over the deceptions.
IN OTHER NEWS:
It was just a little over a year ago that Kennedy was sentenced in the Wodonga Magistrate's Court to a three-month term for a series of break-ins.
At the time, in October of 2018, he had allegedly been involved in a pursuit in Lavington that police claim began after he stole a vehicle.
At one point, police alleged, he went close to running over an Albury officer as they tried to arrest him while filling up at a petrol station.
Kennedy, of Riga Circuit, has now pleaded in Albury Local Court to three larceny charges and three of dishonestly obtain a financial advantage by deception.
For that, magistrate Richard Funston sentenced Kennedy to two years' jail.
With time already served and the non-parole period of 12 months, Kennedy will remain in jail until August 31.
The court was told that Kennedy "has a significant criminal history in NSW" with 37 offences, including police pursuits, larceny, aggravated robbery inflicting actual bodily harm and robbery in company with an offensive weapon.
His latest jail sentence resulted from incidents that began on August 24 when a ute was parked outside a house in Lea Court, Lavington, on August 24 about 10pm.
Someone has broken into the vehicle during the night, stealing the victim's wallet in which there was a debit card.
About midnight, another car in Carstens Street had the driver's window smashed, with another debit card taken.
The cards were used to buy items including a $30 mobile phone re-charger, $50 in petrol and $48 in petrol at Wodonga service stations.
Later attempted purchases were declined by the relevant banks.
Police said Kennedy was arrested a week later, with a co-accused, when they stopped a suspected stolen car in Kiewa Street, Albury.
