THE successful career of Blaike McDougall scaled a new high after the talented hoop landed his first group 3 winner at Hobart on Sunday.
McDougall partnered Zargos to victory in the group 3 Bow Mistress Trophy, (1200m) for Team Hayes.
The hard-working hoop was at his brilliant best in the $150,000 feature after settling midfield in the 12-horse field.

A patient McDougall waited until straightening for home before Zargos burst through a narrow gap and quickly found a winning break on her rivals.
Zargos ($12) defeated Deroche by half-a-length with Twitchy Frank third.
McDougall landed 107 winners last season to enjoy the most productive 12 months of his career.
The in-demand hoop in on track to easily eclipse his previous best tally after already notching 85 winners so far this season.
