New court date set over Jindera 'home invasion'

Keighen Charles Lloyd and his younger brother Joshua allegedly wore ski masks during the incident inside a home on Pioneer Drive in late November.

Albury Local Court has been told that charge certification was now being completed and that a further adjournment was needed for that to be finalised.

Joshua Lloyd's lawyer, Dominic Holles, asked that his matters be put over to March 17.

"A charge certificate will be ready to go," Mr Holles told magistrate Richard Funston.

"There is no application (for bail)."

The younger Lloyd was not required to appear via a video link to Junee jail.

The court heard previously that the victim of the alleged home invasion had a sawn-off shotgun placed under his chin while being asked to hand over his firearms.

It was further alleged that Keighen Lloyd fired-off a round during the incident on November 22, soon after midnight.

The alleged victim, who police claim had the shotgun pointed at his head while demands were made, resisted and the brothers fled, the court was told, after the shot was fired.

Both men, who were remanded in custody at that first mention, have denied the allegations.

Meanwhile, a man accused of carrying out an armed robbery at a Woolworths Caltex in Lavington last June is facing a likely delay to his sentencing.

Sean Evans-McClelland was due to be sentenced in the District Court in Albury late last week.

But his matter instead was adjourned for a further mention so a sentence date could then be set by Judge Sean Grant.
