"It's a Tennis NSW series and it's designed to be the first stepping stone in the performance pathway," Tennis NSW south west regional administrator Tom Urbanavicius said.
"The kids are required to enter online through the Tennis Australia website and basically we want them to start understanding what it means to be a performance player.
"It definitely gives them an understanding of how to conduct themselves as players in that environment."
The Junior Development Series spans right across south west NSW, with tournaments staged as far north as Goulburn, across to Deniliquin and everywhere in between.
