AWFA's under-14 girls finished undefeated, taking down a host of NSW NPL 1, NPL 2, metropolitan Sydney clubs and NPL outfits from Canberra to win the annual girls-only tournament.
The under-14 competition included 22 teams, with AWFA prevailing 4-2 on penalties after being locked at 1-1 after regulation and extra time against St George FC.
AWFA topped Pool B with victories against Macarthur Rams (1-0), Linfield FC (2-0), Northbridge FC (6-0) and Marconi Stallions (2-0), before a hard-fought 1-0 triumph over Mid Coast FC in the semi-final.
"It is always a high-quality tournament in Bathurst and we were drawn to play some very strong teams," AWFA coach Scott Halloway said.

"The grand final was a very exciting game, the girls were 1-0 down at half time, but worked their way back into the game and dominated the second half.
"The girls scored to even it up at 1-1 and with a bit of luck could have won it in normal time, we hit the woodwork a couple of times which would have sealed the game for the squad.
"The girls remained composed to win the penalty shootout 4-2 and take home the trophy."
Halloway paid credit to the effort shown by his players.
"The girls were fantastic all weekend, they played some great football and scored some very impressive goals. The girls only conceded one goal across all games which was very pleasing as a coach," he said.
"They are a great team to coach, all the girls are eager to learn and work really hard for each other and they have become a very tight group".
AWFA's under-12 girls finished third in their pool and the 16s were fifth overall.
A week earlier, the AWFA boys competed at the Bathurst Cup, with the under-15s reaching the semi-finals, the 13s got through to the quarter-finals, while the 14s and 16s fell just short of the quarter-finals.
Both tournaments attracted record entries with 64 girls teams featuring in the Proctor Cup and a further 81 boys teams at the Bathurst Cup, involving 27 different clubs across 185 matches.
