A Glenroy man was refused bail during on Saturday after allegedly assaulting a woman with a large wooden stick in an Albury motel room.

Albury police were called to a motel room on David Street, Albury, on Wednesday after a man allegedly forced entry into the room about 11.30pm and attacked a woman with a large stick.
Following the attack the man fled and emergency services were called.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the woman before she was taken to hospital for further treatment to a facial injury.

Albury police officers established a crime scheme and commenced an investigation.
Police later attended a house on Bryon Street, Glenroy, and arrested a 47-year-old man, who want taken to Albury Police Station.
The man was charged with four offences aggravated break and enter and commit indictable offence, wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm, contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The man appeared before Albury Local Court on Saturday and was refused bail to appear at the same court on Monday.
