When he tried to then get on a V/Line train, also Melbourne-bound, he took up the abuse again when told he couldn't get on board.
"I'm travelling on this train no matter what," he yelled at a V/Line conductor and a co-worker.

When it was explained that if he sobered-up he could take the 12.30pm service, the 44-year-old Nowra man exploded with rage.
Potter walked up to the conductor with clenched fists.
He then pulled back one arm as if he was about to begin delivering some punches.
"I'm going to kill you all, I'm going to stab you. I'm going to get a knife to stab you."
Albury Local Court has heard that Potter didn't let-up even after police arrested him a short time later.
As he sat in the caged section of the police vehicle, he yelled out: "I'll f ... ing kill yous."
Potter has pleaded guilty to charges of offensive behaviour, stalking or intimidation and intimidating a police officer.
But he won't know his penalty until April 21 after magistrate Richard Funston ordered the preparation of a sentence assessment report.
Potter was on a 12-month community corrections order when he committed the offences on February 16.
He had also previously served jail terms, his criminal history showing a "propensity for violence".
The court was told Potter was abusive and argumentative on the XPT train "to the point that staff and passengers became fearful of his behaviour".
He was kicked-off the train on arrival in Albury at 4.55am.
Potter directed his tirade at the V/Line workers just as they were getting ready for departure.
