The Amateur Performance Theatre Awards - Border Region will be revealed on Facebook on Saturday, May 2, from 6.30pm.
Created last year to recognise groups within a 50 kilometre radius of Albury-Wodonga, plus Wangaratta, the awards released the nominees for 2019/2020 on Monday evening via its Facebook page.
There are nine categories covering musicals, plays, youth shows, stage management, direction and production as well as a Special Achievement in Theatre Award to be announced on the night.

Avenue Q, an adult puppet show staged by Revolution Theatre Productions, received 10 nominations overall, including four of the six nominees in Best Performer in a Musical.
Ethan Goodacre was nominated twice in this category, both as Nicky in Avenue Q and Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar, also by Revolution Theatre Productions. His Superstar co-star Mica Torre (Mary Magdalene) rounds out the candidates.
Wodonga Senior Secondary College's Matilda: The Musical earned seven nominations and has three representatives in Best Young Performer.
In the play categories, Taming of the Shrew gained five nominations for The Other Theatre Company.
Shows by BYTE Sized Productions, Wangaratta Players, Tallangatta Community Theatre, Allegro Theatre Company, Trinity Anglican College and Murray High School also feature in the finalists.
