Corowa Signs' Greg Andrews was contracted by a company in Melbourne to transform the machines.
"The bloke is originally from this area, but he has a concreting and excavator company in Campbellfield," Mr Andrews said.
"He engaged me to do a wrap mural with a tribute to the Anzacs on the whole machine, and he's called it the digger.
"When he parks it at night, he stands the front arm directly vertical and it's got the bloke with the Last Post standing up.
"He's had similar designs done - I think his grandfather or father was a veteran."
Mr Andrews said plenty of feedback had come through about the excavators.
"They're on freeways and they've got a massive contract at the airport, he's had people contact him who have seen them," he said.
"He's obviously getting something out of it and it's been a great opportunity for us."
