FANS of Middle Eastern and Asian fusion restaurant La Maison in Wodonga are recreating the classic menu at home amid the coronavirus pandemic.

La Maison Restaurant introduced a weekly market day and Click and Collect online menu before Easter.
Patrons have even picked up multiple dishes for parties on the Zoom platform.
La Maison Restaurant co-owner Wassim Saliba said customers had embraced the chance to recreate some of the restaurant's signature dishes at home.
He said people had enjoyed being able to master their favourite meals.
"The social aspect of eating out isn't allowed right now but people have changed the way they're doing things," he said.
"People are collecting food for Zoom birthday parties and delivering it to people who can then cook it together.
"They're still bonding without being too close."

Having had a two-week break after COVID-19 health orders closed restaurants and cafes, Mr Saliba said they needed to come up with a plan to stay in touch with their clients and keep their staff engaged.
Mr Saliba said JobKeeper had allowed them to keep 12 people working.
"We've had a lot of support from our clients and staff but the bonus we get from the government makes it achievable," Mr Saliba said.

La Maison remains open for takeaway coffee Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm.
Its Click and Collect menu is available for pickup from the restaurant during those hours while home delivery is being investigated.
