Laing O'Rourke's set-up in town is one of 10 "clean-up caravans" stationed across NSW with works set to commence in around 250 locations.
People in the Greater Hume and Snowy Valleys areas will not have their properties inspected just yet, with nearly 30 major NSW regions on the list, but teams are making contact with those registered.
The clean-up may involve removal of known hazardous materials, including asbestos, removal of materials destroyed by fire and hazardous trees near a destroyed or damaged primary residence or place of business, and concrete slab foundations.
Across the program, the company expects to increase the number of properties being cleared each week to more than 300.
The "clean-up caravans" are intended for local contractors and Laing O'Rourke staff to plan - due to COVID-19, they are not open to the public.
People with questions about the program are urged to call 1800 007 539.
Registrations for the program are still open and can be made by calling 13 77 88 or visiting https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/register-opt-nsw-bushfire-clean.
