A Gundagai woman found herself $1.8 million richer after checking her ticket due to social media speculation over a mystery winner.

The Lott revealed on Monday that an unregistered ticket sold at Gundagai Newsagency was among the 11 division one winners from Saturday Lotto draw 4049.
The woman explained she had seen on Facebook that someone from the region had won division one but didn't for a moment think it could be her.
She confirmed the life-changing news with an official from the Lott on Tuesday afternoon after checking her ticket at the newsagency.
"Oh god. I just can't believe it. I cannot believe it," she said.
"I just checked the ticket. I had absolutely no idea.
"I saw on Facebook today that there had been a winner in Gundagai so I thought I'd better check it.
"I didn't actually think it could be me! It's incredible. I can't believe it."
"I really don't know, it certainly hasn't sunk in yet," she said.
"I think my husband will have a heart attack when I tell him this.
"We will certainly be sharing it with our family. That's all I can think of at the moment. It's just amazing! Unbelievable."
Gundagai Newsagency owner Penny Nicholson said she was overwhelmed with excitement when she discovered her shop had sold its first division one winning entry.
"When I read we had sold a division one winning entry I had to keep re-reading the notification," she explained.
"It's fabulous news. We are all so happy for the winner. We have a very tight community and good news like this is so welcomed.
"Congratulations to the winner. We are absolutely delighted for them."
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4049 on May 9 were 35, 39, 38, 22, 21 and 7, while the supplementary numbers were 34 and 44.
Across Australia, there were 11 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4049 - four from Victoria, three from NSW, two from Western Australia, and one each from South Australia and Queensland.
