Around 150 players returned to Wodonga Golf Club for the Wednesday competition.
"The general mood is that the members are very thankful just to be back," professional Gavin Vearing said.
"It was frustrating, you could go to the shops, but couldn't go to the golf course."
The Victorian Government banned the sport from Saturday, March 28, as part of its wide-ranging coronavirus restrictions.
Prior to the resumption, Vearing emailed all members about the vigilance required around social distancing.

"Golfers cannot become complacent, if someone does the wrong thing it could cause the golf course to be shut down," he warned.
"And with social players, they must book in to play, we don't want players just rocking up for a game.
"We have made it as controlled an environment as we can."
