Emergency services were called to reports of fire at the Cuclairn Hotel about 4pm on Thursday.
On arrival they discovered a smoke-logged building and a fire in a chimney.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire and checked the building to ensure the blaze had not spread.
The fire was brought under control swiftly and firefighters worked to ensure all parts of the building were ventilated.
In an online post Fire and Rescue said the firefighters did an outstanding job protecting the iconic community building and minimising damage.
