Border young gun Noah Spry has accepted an offer to join Melbourne Victory, becoming the fourth Murray player to sign with a major Australian club since its debut season in 2015.
Spry, along with Linus Bourke and Ryan Kemp, are the three additions from Murray into Victory's academy setup, while Young Socceroo Alec Mills remains at Melbourne City.
The 13-year-old began his career with St Pats in the AWFA and has made an instant impact in his first season at Murray.
"I went to a pre-academy training camp over a weekend and their academy coach was there and invited me to train in Melbourne with their squad for a week," Spry said.
"From that week they invited me for another week.
"I actually got injured on the last day and that put a bit of doubt in my mind, but a couple of weeks ago I got the call saying they'd like me to join the squad for next year."
Spry was keen for a new challenge playing in the NPL after starring in representative teams for the AWFA.
"I wanted a bigger challenge because you're playing against Melbourne kids and playing and training at a higher level," he said.
"I've had experience with nationals for NSW and I wanted to be able to train at that level and thought Murray would help me do that.
"I like that Murray is a much bigger step up in quality from boys AWFA.
"I feel more involved with everything. When you're playing, the other age groups come and watch you and you watch them."

After being invited to train with Victory, Spry instantly felt at home.
"It was very professional and I really enjoyed it. It was a really, really good experience," he said.
"That's the level I want to be at.
"I'm going to continue training with them every Thursday when the restrictions come off and that will blend into starting to play with them.
"I've always wanted to get to an academy, but I haven't really followed A-League much, I've mainly followed Europe."
Spry added he has been working hard during the COVID-19 pandemic and is itching to get back on the park with his teammates.
"I've been doing a lot of training, much more than I'd usually get before the restrictions," he said.
"I've tried to keep my fitness up."
Murray's technical director Adam Carty was thrilled for Spry.
"The club is delighted to be able to support Noah follow his dreams," Carty said.
"The club has built a very strong relationship Melbourne Victory and while it might sound a little counter intuitive.
"We look forward to more of our players catching the eye of A-league sides.
"It also been fantastic to see how much support Noah's coaches at Murray have been.
"With Football Victoria still entertaining the idea of completing the season, this will mean a lot more of our Murray players will have the opportunity to be seen by A- league clubs before the year is out."
