Club members were notified of the decision on Wednesday night.
"The board considered the most recent feedback from clubs together with information gathered from league meetings conducted with clubs during the pandemic," league chairman Peter Byrne said.
The Ovens and King has followed the lead of the Hume, Kyabram, Millewa, Heathcote, Eastern and Northern leagues in abandoning their senior competitions.
